I don’t think it’s at all possible to create a list of Top 25 Sci-Fi TV Babes and not include Firefly’s Zoe to this list. Not on is the actress, Gina Torres, hot on Firefly, she’s been smoking hot on several TV series.

Torres’ roles include Helen “Hel” Carter from Cleopatra 2525, Nebula in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and of course, Zoe Washburne of Firefly. Not to mention recurring roles on Xena: Warrior Princess, Alias, 24, and Angel. Granted, she gets sci-fi points for being married to Morpheus himself, Laurence Fishburne. I’m calling bullsh*t.

A few women on this list that I get behind fully include Martha Jones, Deanna Troi and T’Pol.

A few Celtics fans are irate over an ESPN columnist’s reference to Hitler. Jemele Hill, who is Black, allegedly stated “Rooting for the Celtics is like saying Hitler was a victim.” If true, it was poor taste, but comparing her to Rush Limbaugh and Don Imus is taking it a bit far.

Ageism in hip-hop. Sure, a 47-year old can rhyme, ninjas. Really though, it doesn’t really matter in my book that he can sound like Jadakiss, because these piss ant rappers nowadays are garbage.

Having seen several trailers and specifically, the most recent trailer for The Dark Knight, I’m beginning to get excited about this film. I’m not sure why it wasn’t really on my radar. It could be that I was so stoked to see Iron Man I forgot about Batman.

So, the geniuses at Mozilla want to break a world record for the most downloads in a day or something. Have we considered that they may just break the internet for the average schmoes out here?

Regardless, I’ll be downloading. Firefox 3 is a great improvement over Firefox 2, especially on the Mac side. Firefox 3 beta have been far ahead when comes to speediness compared to the current version. The bookmarking tools are sweet also. Internet Explorer 8, be damned.

If you haven’t seen the mid-season finale, Revelations, please check it out. Worth every second.

Spoilers Ahead

Besides being arguably the best ass kicking episode we’ve seen since Season 2, the mid-season finale of Battlestar Galactica threw a major plot twist at fans.

So, surprisingly, the fleet and the cyclons skip to Earth hand-in-hand, after an newly formed alliance that about as stable as Lindsay Lohan without her happy pills. The humans can’t trust the cylons because, after all, the machines nuked their homeworlds. The cylons can’t trust the humans because…well,  the humans will never forgive the toaster for nuking said homeworlds. See the conundrum. So they get to Earth and there’s no juicy nectarines, gushing springs or chewy bounding deer meat—just soupy fallout stew and radioactive dirt. Sucks for them.

Seriously, this ep raised more questions than answers. I mean, where do the humans and the cylons go from here? And frankly, what’s the payoff gonna be now? To reiterate the sentiments of Admiral Adama, the new “cooperation”between the humans and cylons is tenuous. Adama knows once the chips are down both parties’ fears will implode under the pressure. It’s only a matter of time before Athena off and guts another Six with a slug or  Tyrol finds out exactly who (Tory) airlocked his wife, Cally.

One problem I had with Revelations is the shady non-reveal of the final cylon. D’Anna (3) claimed to know the identities of the final five cylons, but when it came time to reveal the fifth cylon, only stated that the fifth was not onboard Galactica. Does that mean the fifth is on another ship? Is the fifth dead? Very shady.

Alas, the show tagline, All Will Be Revealed will have to wait until sometime after January when the show returns. Here’s a round-up of some of the reviews for Revelations.

Keep in mind that just a month or so ago, Matthew McConaughey was supposed to be Steve Rogers — with or without his shirt off.

No surprise, BSG is the #2 most downloaded. Funny, I don’t watch anything else on the list, including lost.

Last night I was eagerly awaiting a tweet from one of my new friends on the social messaging service Twitter. I had recently begun following the daily snapshots from this friend’s life.

I was waiting for a tweet from BarackObama declaring victory in the Democratic nominations. As if somewhat of tweet afterthought, that message arrived sometime after 9:30 PM EST.

Expecting something like “Can Haz 2118!! Ceiling Cat Defeats Billary.” Instead, it read “IN St Paul, MN speaking after securing the nomination. Watch the speech live on TV tonight…”. How insanely casual “We Win. You Lose.” is that?

In this age, where many of us spend so much time online creating our own social ecosystems, hallmark moments are being played out on the web. Many of us get the bulk of our news online, whether its via blogs or shocking video captured on Youtube. Old media front page headlines have been replaced with minute-by-minute updates from RSS feeds, tweets and online word of mouth—social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook or Friendfeed.
