The Fox Network is spinning of Family Guy with The Cleveland Show in spring of ’09. This could be brilliant in the way Chappelle’s Show was or dreadful like Eddie Murphy’s The PJs. Black themed satires often use the absurdity of racism and stereotypes to generate laughs. Sometimes they come off well, like in the case of the first few seasons of In Living Color. Often the characters turnout just unfunny, like Jamie Foxx’s portrayal of Wanda in the last few seasons of the same show. Here’s hoping The Cleaveland Show isn’t the latter.
